The Kinsey Scales – 2026 Pride and Visibility Concert

The Kinsey Scales is an inclusive choir for Nipaluna/Hobart’s LGBTQIA+ community and allies. The choir aims to create an environment that promotes new connections, by uniting in a shared vision based on pride and joy.

The Kinsey Scales have received a small grant towards hosting and performing an end of year concert in November 2026 that actively promotes the pride of the Queer community. The Kinsey Scales aim to hold this concert to showcase the choir’s strength and pride, and also to give the members of a choir a common goal to strive for in the performance opportunity. Simultaneously, the aim for this concert is to be a celebratory event that is advertised locally and attracts a diverse audience, thus improving Queer visibility in their city.
