KNDO Creative – stop.u.start

Kerstin Norburn, working under the moniker KNDO Creative, has been working in creative spaces creating spaces for good communication for quite some time. She’s created video content for the big screen, smaller screens and little hand-held screens. She loves what words can do when used well.

She has received a small grant to support her project stop.u.start, a public transport walking project for curious people who like to move.

Every route starts and ends at a tram or train stop with no car needed. The project aims to create two illustrated walking maps for older LGBTQIA+ people in Melbourne: routes with shade, seats, toilets and honest accessibility notes. The grant will support an LGBTQIA+ illustrator and an older LGBTQIA+ walk tester. The whole team is over 55 and part of the community.

Walking is one of the best things older bodies and minds can do—fitness, balance, mood, mental health—and a free map from a tram stop is the simplest invitation to keep moving.
