CuriousWorks – Pride Never Ends

CuriousWorks exists at the intersection of contemporary multi-arts practice and community arts and cultural development. They work across art forms and disciplines, focusing on screen works, digital media, and emerging art forms.

A small grant was awarded to CuriousWorks for Pride Never Ends, a story-telling workshop program for folks to share and connect through the art of interview.

Across 3 workshops, participants will learn skills around filming and interview in the style of SMH’s The Two of Us or Channel 7’s First Dates. The interviews are framed around participants’ relationships, exploring different themes in each workshop, such as chosen/found family, ‘gay ancestors,’ and the first queer person you ever met/heard of.

The format is designed as an ‘ice-breaker,’ building a safer space for connection and reflection. It is for the aging LGBTQIA+ community looking for interconnectedness and purpose in a fragmented world, and to feel a sense of ongoing Pride within oneself and within others.
