Diverse Voices – Resourcing Ageing LGBTQIA+ Community

Diverse Voices works alongside QLife who provides Australia-wide anonymous, LGBTI peer support and referral for people wanting to talk about a range of issues including sexuality, identity, gender, bodies, feelings or relationships.

A PFA small grant was awarded to Diverse Voices supporting the co-design development of two resource brochures for LGBTIQA+ older people, with a focus on (1) Respectful relationships for older people (focus on intimate partner violence information and supports) and (2) Elder Abuse (focus on family violence and elder abuse information and support available). Diverse Voices wants to pursue this project to build tailored knowledge and resources for community distribution to increase awareness.
