GLBTI Rights in Ageing Inc – Never Too Old or Creatively Bold Workshops

GRAI—Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Rights in Ageing Inc—was formed in Perth in 2005 to protect the rights and wellbeing of older LGBTI people. GRAI works to promote the voices, expertise and lived experience of older LGBTI people to the wider community so that all organisations and service providers recognise and respect the specific needs of older LGBTI people.

GRAI received a small grant for their project Never Too Old or Creatively Bold, a series of 10 art-focussed workshops for older LGBTI people (50+ yrs) delivered by older LGBTI people. Participants in existing GRAI social groups have requested additional activities that are creative and arty and have identified they have existing skills and knowledge to share. This project seeks to meet these requests, and will run from August 2026–27.
