Tamworth Pride – LGBTQIA+ Youth Sub-Committee and LGBTQIA+ Youth Events

Tamworth Pride is an annual festival that takes place in Tamworth Castle Grounds every summer. This exciting event celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and aims to promote equality, diversity, and inclusivity. The festival boasts a variety of amazing performers, including musicians, drag queens, and dancers, who will entertain the crowds with their outstanding talent and energy.

Tamworth Pride recognised that there are limited opportunities for LGBTQIA+ Youth to receive support-services/Information, and social opportunities in the Tamworth LGA and have received a PFA small grant to establish a LGBTQIA+ Youth Sub-Committee to inform and lead socially inclusive events/support for LGBTQIA+ Youth. The Sub-Committee will reach out to LGBTQIA+ Youth to determine events they would like, and create a schedule of Bi monthly party events (Dance/Karaoke/Dress Up Themes etc.) and Bi monthly card/games events etc. thus ensuring funds can cover a diversity of events and associated costs, over 2026.
