Late Blooming Lesbians Sydney hosts regular social gatherings (meet-ups, online events, picnics, and themed events) for members to connect, share their stories, and form supportive friendships. These events are vital for combating isolation and fostering community.
This grant will go towards funding further website development, with the aim to add more resources and maintenance of the website for individuals who have not had access to LGBTQ+ spaces or who have experienced isolation due to their late-life coming out.
It will also support the design and development of branded merchandise for current members to purchase to wear at gatherings and events to represent our group. LBL aims to have merchandise design ready for Mardi Gras 2025 for Fair Day/ Parade celebrations.
