Salakot Incorporated: Barbies Volleyball Tournament 2024

Shelter for every JUAN away from home. Salakot, Incorporated as an organisation aims to provide relief to the youth, specifically youth migrants and members of the marginalised multicultural communities.

This PFA Small Grant supports Salakot Inc to sponsor the Barbies Volleyball Tournament on the 14 December 2024 at Recwest Braybrook.

The project aims to promote greater acceptance of the LGBTQIA+ members within the community and in sports in particular. A common barrier faced by members of the LGBTQIA+ is the continued homophobia and transphobia in sports in Australia.

Salakot’s project will promote greater community connectivity and cohesiveness. It also aims to promote healthy living and well-being to the LGBTQIA+ community who will be the primary participants and beneficiaries of the grant.
