Macedon Ranges Accessible Arts – Queerthentic

Macedon Ranges Accessible Arts Inc has been created to enhance the lives of marginalised community members through access to art in an accessible manner and to decrease the stigmatisation and discrimination faced by those community members.

They received small grant funding towards Queerthentic 2026, a regional LGBTQIA+ art exhibition and community celebration in Kyneton, showcasing queer artists from the Macedon Ranges and surrounding regions. The event features art, live music, and shared hospitality, creating an inclusive space for connection and pride. The funding supports catering, refreshments, and performances by local queer artists Frankie Bell and the Rainbow Voices Community Choir. Held in May 2026 to coincide with IDAHOBIT, the four-week exhibition will foster visibility, inclusion, and wellbeing for regional LGBTQIA+ communities through creativity and shared celebration.
