Australian Aotearoa Lesbian Medical Association: ALMA Student Members Financial Support

Australian Aotearoa Lesbian Medical Association (ALMA) is a non-profit organisation that provides a support network for lesbian and same-sex attracted women and non-binary doctors and medical students across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. It is a space wherein the unique intersection of personal and professional identities creates an environment of mutual understanding, support, mentorship, and uplifting. ALMA’s annual members’ conference is a forum for learning, creating new connections and nurturing old ones amongst doctors and medical students at all career stages.

For many of ALMA’s students, this is one of the few times where they can experience an inclusive environment consisting entirely of same-sex attracted women, students and doctors.

ALMA have received a PFA Small Grant towards supporting their students attendance at their annual conference.
