Grace received a PFA Small Grant towards producing and filming a short film titled “Spiders on My Lash Line” which is a 5-minute queer coming-of-age short fiction film, inspired by non-binary poet Madison’s Godfrey’s poem of the same name. The poem is from their memoir Dress Rehearsals and has been optioned with their permission. The film is written and directed by the award-winning queer filmmaker Grace Tan and produced by Debbie Zhou and Chidiebube Uba.

The film will begin official pre-production in early August, and move into production in early September. Through weaving together poetry, cinema and social commentary, this film invites audiences to reflect on their own diverse experiences of gender alongside finding empowerment through movement.
