The recipient of the Sidney Myer Fund and Pride Foundation Australia grant for $20,000 is Refugee Advice & Casework Service (RACS).
In collaboration with the St Kilda Legal Service (SKLS), RACS will deliver two national training sessions for legal services, exploring best practice for working with persons that identify as LGBTIQA+ and make claims for protection due to their sexual orientation or gender identity, or where their LGBTIQA+ status makes them additionally vulnerable.

We further commit the contribution of a significant proportion of grant funding received to Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and South Sea Islander LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy led initiatives to improve social outcomes.
Australia was, and always will be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land.
