GALFA Rebrands to Pride Foundation Australia

The new name Pride Foundation Australia (PFA, formerly GALFA) was launched at our stall at Midsumma Carnival in Melbourne last month, closely followed by our introduction in NSW at Fair Day. Our new web site will be following soon. We have had very positive responses to this new direction, which is a visual reminder that we are working for the diverse range of LGBTQIA+ Australians. Amongst many similar comments, Sally Goldner sent the following words:

“On behalf of Transgender Victoria, Bisexual Alliance Victoria and myself personally, congratulations and thank you for the name change. Inclusive language is an important factor for bi and TGD people so when key organisations in our worlds make moves like yours it is encouraging and affirming for us. Please pass on our thanks to the Board.”
