Thank you, we raised $28,520 over Pride Month!

We recognise the incredibly difficult time being faced by trans, gender diverse and non-binary people right now, and made the decision to use our annual fundraising campaign to raise funds for Transcend Australia, and their ambition to develop a National Youth Action Program alongside a National Parent Advocacy Program to provide opportunities for both youth and parents to take positive action in countering the negative messaging and to address the disinformation about their lives.

Pride Foundation Australia and its board are pleased to announce that we successfully raised $28,520 in June through both our GiveNow fundraising platform and direct donations, as a result of our Pride Month Fundraiser.

Our target of $20,000 will be donated to Transcend Australia and the remainder will be put towards funding trans-specific projects through our Small Grants program.

Pride Foundation Australia pays respect to the traditional custodians of the land and sea on which we live, work and play, we pay our respects to Elders past and present, acknowledging that sovereignty was never ceded.

Pride Foundation Australia commits through the resources we have available to us, to work with, for, and alongside Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and South Sea Islander LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy peoples and communities to embed a self-determined future.

We further commit the contribution of a significant proportion of grant funding received to Aboriginal Torres Strait  South Sea Islander LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy led initiatives to improve social outcomes.

Australia was, and always will be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land.
