Youth Pride Network: YPN Policy Forum

The Youth Pride Network (YPN) committee is a group of young LGBTIQA+ people from across Western Australia who are working to improve the lives of all young LGBTIQA+ people in the state through systemic advocacy, education, and events.

YPN received their 2024 Small Grant towards funding the YPN Policy Forum.

The YPN Policy Forum 2024 will focus on key issues impacting LGBTIQA+ young people in Western Australia, including homelessness, education, and healthcare. Scheduled before the State Election in March 2025, the forum aims to engage stakeholders from various sectors to co-design policy frameworks and practices. It will present findings from the State of Play Report, focusing on access, attitudes, knowledge, policies, and outcomes in healthcare.

By empowering young people and influencing policy agendas, the forum seeks to ensure the diverse voices of young LGBTIQA+ people are heard in policy and government decision-making processes.
