Space Girls Festival – Outer Space II

Outer Space is a collaboration between Space Girls Festival and Headspace Gympie, designed to provide a safe and inclusive space for young people (aged up to 25) in the Gympie region to celebrate Pride Month through creative workshops in costumes & prop design inspired by Mardi Gras.

Space Girls Festival received a small grant to support a celebration event including live music and a parade to showcase creations.

There is a strong need for this project as LGBTIQ-identifying youth, along with their friends and allies, often face social isolation and a lack of accessible, inclusive cultural events. Outer Space addresses this by offering a vibrant, welcoming environment where participants can express themselves freely, build connections.
