Queer Theory Reading Group Conference

QTRG is an annual conference hosted by The QTRG (Queer Theory Reading Group) that aims to provide a space for researchers to share their queer research. QTRG understand queer research to go beyond disciplinary boundaries to include any work that is on queer topics, queer people, and queer theory, and welcome abstracts from any discipline or external organisations.

The 2024 QTRG Conference will be held from 25-27 September, for between 50-80 attendees. This three-day event is a space for emerging and established queer researchers to share their knowledge and build long-term collaborations.

The event is free to attend, hybrid (online and in-person at Macquarie University), and involves social and academic activities such as talks, panel presentations, craft-activism, board-games, and shared meals.

The event draws researchers from all across Australia, with attendance from Universities and community organisations. As an independent event, QTRG is an unique space for queer researchers to connect with one another and build knowledge and community outside of institutional restrictions.
