Kat Glass: Space Pirates

Kat Glass (They/Them) is a Melbourne based actor, freelance producer, and creative who brings socially impactful stories to life. They have received a small grant towards their new show Space Pirates.

Space Pirates is a joyful, climate-conscious kids theatre show that follows Fern, a young trans girl and space pilot on a mission to clean up space junk, until a chaotic crew of pirates is accidentally teleported onto her ship! Together, they must find a way to get the pirates home and Fern’s mission back on track.

The purpose is to create an affirming theatrical experience for young people, centering sustainability, inclusion, and positive queer representation. Through puppetry, humour, and an accompanying education pack, SP will spark imagination, encourage kindness, and show kids a world where everyone belongs.
