Alexandra Edmondson: Mad Are We

Alexandra Edmondson is an award winning creative and the founder of Wolfgarden. She lives and works on Larrakia country, in the far north of Australia, and tells stories that explore the world through a female, queer and neurodivergent lens.

Mad Are We is an audio play exploring the intersection of queer and neurodivergent experience. It involves 5 queer and neurodivergent cast members who have been developing this play for several months. A reading of the play will be performed at the Darwin Fringe Festival in July.

A Small Grant has been awarded to Alexandra towards recording the play with the cast and the further development of the sound design and music. They will produce an audio project to be released online (via audio platforms e.g.Spotify) in December of 2024. They hope this audio project will reach queer and neurodivergent audiences across Australia and beyond, to validate the queer and neurodivergent experience.
