We’re pleased to announce that Multicultural Youth Advocacy Network (MYAN) are the recipients of Pride Foundation Australia and Sidney Myer Fund’s second major grant round for 2021. MYAN are the peak body representing the rights and interests of young people from migrant backgrounds.
This funding will go towards developing a national survey and consultation to explore to specific settlement experiences and subsequent needs of young LGBTQIA+ refugees and asylum seekers in Australia.
The research will be used to inform governmental policy as well as settlement services in better addressing gaps in support for young LGBTQIA+ refugees and asylum seekers.
