Migrant Resources Centre Tasmania awarded PFA x Sidney Myer Fund Major Grant Round 1, 2021

The PFA Board of Directors and Sidney Myer Fund are proud to announce that Migrant Resources Centre Tasmania is the successful applicant of our first major grant round of 2021.

Migrant Resource Centre Tasmania is a not-for-profit organisation that supports and empowers migrants and refugees to settle and live fulfilling lives in Tasmania.

The Migrant Resource Centre in Tasmania will develop a resource for LGBTIQ+ refugees and asylum seekers on their human and legal rights, and how to access support services. This resource will be innovative using audio files as well as written materials and will be translated into 15 languages.

It will be co-designed with team members from LGBTIQ peak Working It Out and the AGMC. It will improve cultural awareness of refugees within Working It Out and of LGBTIQ issues within the MRC Tas.

Congratulations, Migrant Resources Centre Tasmania!
