PFA Sponsor Pride Film Fest and Attend TasPride Pride March and Picnic

Pride Foundation Australia is a sponsor of the recent TasPride Pride Film Fest, a 90 minute program of LGBTIQ+ short films curated by Queer Screen and produced by Side Quest. Side Quest is an unincorporated grass roots production team based in lutruwita/ Tasmania. Pride Film Fest was toured across 6 locations in Tasmania, with financial support from Pride Foundation Australia towards the costs of screening these films.

Included in the short film line up was Die Bully Die, which was funded by PFA through our Small Grants program in 2023.

Brendon Oliver-Ewen, Board Director from Pride Foundation Australia, had a great time hosting a stall for the Annual TasPride Pride March and Picnic.

Sharing awareness of PFA and the philanthropic work we do and opportunities available, Brendon and Paul (one of our ATSSSI Committee representatives) had lots great conversations, with line-ups to talk sometimes 5 and 6 people deep! More than 60 names were added to the mailing list, with great engagement from Federal, State and Local politicians, aid organisations, queer-focuxed community groups and individuals, and we look forward to growing our footprint down South!
