Thank you, we raised $35,750 for LGBTQIA+ First Nations projects during Pride Month!

Every June, during Pride Month, Pride Foundation Australia runs our annual Pride Month fundraiser to support one of our key funding areas. With the recent launch of our new LGBTQIA+ Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and South Sea Islander key funding area, we took the opportunity to build grant funding for our first official grant round in this area. Our fundraiser started on May 27th at the beginning of Reconciliation Week, and ran through to the end of June.

Our initial fundraising target was $20,000, however, between the generous donations we received via our dedicated GiveNow cause – Supporting LGBTQIA+ First Nations Peoples and the handful of generous direct donations we received, our final fundraising total for Pride Month comes to $35,750!

We want to thank every single person who contributed towards our Pride Month fundraiser, your donations have contributed to supporting queer First Nations led projects to improve social outcomes.

Our GiveNow cause remains open to donations for those who wish to continue supporting this key funding area in the future.
