Join PFA on Tues May 21st for Community Refugee Sponsorship by and for LGBTIQA+ people in Australia online event

On Tuesday May 21st, Pride Foundation Australia are hosting our first online event for 2024: Community Refugee Sponsorship by and for LGBTIQA+ people in Australia

This online gathering is a safe space for members of the LGBTIQA+ community to come together and learn about how they can support refugees in need. Join us to hear inspiring stories, discussion of the community refugee sponsorship scheme, and opportunities to get involved in making a difference.

LGBTIQA+ Community refugee sponsorship 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Speakers will include Emily, who arrived in Australia as a sponsored refugee in July 2023; Alex, who is part of Forcibly Displaced People Network and working to support new sponsorship groups for LGBTIQA+ people; Blaise from CRISP; and Ruth McNair AM chairperson of Pride Foundation Australia and coordinator of Emily’s sponsorship group in Melbourne. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion about how to get involved.

Let’s work together to create a more inclusive and welcoming society for all.
