Other ways you can get involved

Pride Foundation was started by a group of people in our community who saw a need and decided to do something about it. To continue our life-changing work for disadvantaged LGBTQIA+ Australians we need your support.

There are many ways that you can be part of creating a better future for our community.
Why not get a group of friends or colleagues together and fundraise for us? There are many ways to fundraise such as holding an event or get together, hosting a morning tea, participating in a structured event such as a fun run, hosting a movie night or planning your own unique activity.

The important thing is that you’ll be having fun while raising money for a great cause and ultimately changing lives.

If you’re planning on holding a fundraiser, get in touch. While we can’t help you run the event itself, we can provide materials and information that will assist you in holding a successful event and promote the event on social media to help spread the word.
Pride Foundation Australia works in partnership with like-minded philanthropic groups, businesses and corporations to increase the funding pool and resources available to LGBTIQA+ organisations. This can take the form of co-funding for grant rounds or pro-bono services that assist our work. Current and recent partnerships include the Sidney Myer Fund, The Aurora Fund, Snow Foundation and Broadtree Foundation.

Please contact us to discuss how your organisation or business would like to be involved in growing support for disadvantaged LGBTQIA+ Australians.
Pride Foundation is a volunteer led and run organisation, enabling us to keep our operational costs to a minimum. From time to time we seek volunteers to assist with events or special projects, join various committees and working groups, and lead fundraising activities.

If you have time and skills that you would like to share we’d love to hear from you.
A bequest in your will to Pride Foundation Australia is the way you can show your passion and care for the future and our community. You can help end discrimination, disadvantage and need; improve the lives of LGBTQIA+ people and communities; and create new opportunities. All bequests, small or large, are important.

If you are thinking of including a bequest to Pride Foundation in your will, please download our information brochure and contact us  for a confidential discussion.
In order to achieve our aim of increasing philanthropic support for the LGBTQIA+ community, Pride Foundation Australia has developed a sub-fund structure that enables other groups to raise and distribute funds through our own philanthropic infrastructure. Our first sub-fund, The Channel has brought more than 100 new donors to LGBTQIA+ philanthropy and initiated several grant rounds. Please contact us to discuss this option further.
